The day rate covers a certified professional for up to 10 hours, providing on-set medical or water safety services and essential equipment as specified in the service details.

All medics hold NREMT or higher certifications, and all lifeguards are certified through the American Red Cross or equivalent agencies. Every provider is thoroughly screened and experience-verified.

The difference lies in the type of water environment they are trained to supervise:

• Closed Body Lifeguards Work in controlled water environments such as pools, water parks, or on-set water tanks. These areas typically have still or minimally moving water with defined boundaries, making rescues more predictable.

• Open–water Lifeguards Work in open–water environments such as oceans, lakes, rivers, and other natural bodies of water. These settings present additional challenges like currents, tides, waves, and varying depths, requiring specialized training in swift-water rescue, marine conditions, and open-water survival techniques.

Yes, for productions traveling across multiple cities over several weeks or working in remote locations, we often recommend or require a dedicated travel medic instead of sourcing local medics at each stop.

A dedicated travel medic ensures consistent coverage every day your production is filming, eliminating concerns about scheduling conflicts or availability in each city. They can travel with your crew, adapt to your production’s unique needs, and build familiarity with your team—leading to better care and a smoother workflow. This approach reduces logistical challenges, ensuring seamless medical coverage without last-minute gaps or disruptions.

Yes, a 5-hour half-day rate is available. If the booking exceeds 5 hours, it automatically converts to the full 10-hour day rate. See above for current rates.

We recommend booking as early as possible to ensure availability, especially for multi-day shoots or high-demand locations. We require at least 48 hours to confirm availability for locations outside most major cities. Last-minute requests may be subject to a rush fee.

Our rates cover consecutive hours worked, including meal and rest breaks, because medics remain available during these times. Many crew members use meal breaks to seek medical attention if they were unable to earlier, and if a medic is off the clock, they cannot respond to any incidents on set.

In emergency medical services (EMS), scheduled meal breaks are not standard because emergencies can happen anytime—the same applies on set. Medics frequently receive calls during breaks for staggered crew schedules, food allergies, or other medical needs.

If keeping costs down is a priority, you may schedule an off-the-clock break for the medic, but they will be unavailable to respond until their break is over.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled hold date incur a $325 fee. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a $575 fee.

Overtime is billed for any hours worked beyond the 10-hour day rate, calculated in 30-minute increments. Time is measured from call time to dismissal, including breaks. Rates are subject to change and may vary based on production agreements.

The multi-day booking discount applies to full 10-hour day bookings within a 14-day period. It cannot be combined with other offers and is non-transferable between productions or locations. The discount applies to labor only, not kit fees or additional expenses.

We accept bank transfers, credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Wrapbook, Greenslate, Bill.com, and mailed checks. Some payment methods may include processing fees.

You can request a specific provider, but availability is not guaranteed. We will do our best to accommodate requests based on scheduling and location.
